Advertising Assets - PWHL x Canadian Broadcasting Corporation
To accompany the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, the PWHL launched “The Ultimate Away Game” campaign to increase awareness of the League and highlight the Olympic-level talent of many of its players. Navigating restrictions on the Olympic name and branding, our design team built out a unique League-wide brand to accompany the Games on PWHL social media, website, email, and in-venue. The goal was to bring in elements of the Olympics & players’ national teams without using the iconic rings or Olympic colors.
Leading up to Milan-Cortina, I created send-off graphics for teams to run in-arena and on social during the final PWHL games before the Olympics, as well as league and individual (8) team “The League Legends Call Home” assets for email and web. For social media, I designed assets for our 5-time Olympians and National Team Captain announcements.
Working “live” during the Women’s Ice Hockey events, I created milestone graphics in real time, as our PWHL players hit Olympic milestones.
Along with an in-house strategy, the PWHL ran a pause ad campaign with CBC, requiring a significant asset build-out.
After the conclusion of the Olympics, our design team had assets prepared for “The Ultimate Home Game” campaign to increase ticket sales back home in the US and Canada.
